About Dina.....

Prior to becoming involved with Yoga and Pilates, I worked in the business world as an administrative assistant for almost 26 years.

While I enjoyed it, I always longed to do something that was meaningful and helpful to others. When I discovered Yoga and Pilates, I quickly saw that becoming an instructor would be the best way to realize my goal of loving what I do and experiencing its benefit personally and for others.

I have been practicing and teaching both for over 18 years and after successfully completing the required training and study, received my Yoga certification through the ReGeneration Institute of Yoga in South Plainfield, NJ. Additionally, I am also certified to teach the Pure Classical Pilates Method through The ReGeneration Institute of Pilates (affiliated with PAI - Pilates Academy International) in South Plainfield, NJ. I am also fully certified to teach on the Universal Reformer and other apparatus.   In addition, I have recently been certified and authorized to teach adaptive yoga for those with physical, cognitive and emotional limitations.  I am registered with Yoga Alliance ( http://www.yogalliance.org) as an experienced Yoga Teacher ( E-RYT) and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP) with over 3,000 hours of teaching experience. I am also Full CPR/AED/First Responder Certified and Trained through the American Heart Association.

I have also completed the training necessary to become a Senior Fitness Specialist through the Bayada Company.

Please ask me about corporate Yoga/Pilates sessions or workshops at your office or place of business!

My teaching style is mainly Vinyasa Yoga and Pure Classical Pilates Method, but I tailor my classes and private sessions to each individual’s needs, goals and interests to bring them the most satisfying and rewarding class I can offer – one that will keep them interested in their practice and allow them to grow with it, but more importantly, HAVE FUN WITH IT!

I believe that everyone can practice and benefit from Yoga and Pilates, and to that end I have volunteered my time leading a weekly Yoga therapy program to patients suffering mild to moderate brain injury at JFK/Hartwyck @ Oak Tree in Edison. I have also led a Wheelchair Yoga program for residents at The Highlands (a Care-One facility in Edison), Yoga for heart patients at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth and currently lead Yoga for special needs teens (Autism and Downs Syndrome) at The ARC of Union County in Mountainside.

Animal rights and kind treatment of them is another cause I hold dear. I am constantly trying to help give a voice to animals that cannot speak for themselves, especially homeless and shelter pets. All mat rental charges go to a neighboring animal shelter or to donate to an organization that helps animals/fosters/cares for homeless pets.

My main goal is to share my love of Yoga and Pilates with others and help them realize their optimal mental, physical and spiritual health potential. Another wish is to bring soothing Yoga to individuals with mental, physical or learning disabilities or illness to provide comfort and relief by experiencing the soothing and healing benefits of both these amazing, life-transforming programs.
